If you want to save your trademark application from being proclaimed abandoned, you have to respond to the office action and resolve all open issues to the examiner's satisfaction.
If the office action is labelled as final, it does not necessarily mean the decision is irreversible. You can still make additional arguments or amendments to address the concerns. Alternatively, you can also appeal the decision by filing a request with the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB).
You can also choose not to respond; however, that will likely result in your application being abandoned, which means you'll lose all previously paid fees.
